Privacy Policy
What this site collects, what it doesn't, and who else is involved.
Last updated: September 18, 2026
The short version
Maker Calculators does not have accounts, logins or newsletters, and there is nothing on this site to sign up for. We never ask you for your name, email address or payment details.
Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. The calculators run entirely on your own device. Your wax weights, fragrance percentages, container sizes, prices and recipes are never transmitted to us, never stored on a server, and never saved between visits. Close the tab and they are gone.
We do use Google Analytics to see which pages get visited, and Google AdSense to show ads. Both set cookies. Details below.
Information we collect
Information you give us
None. There are no forms, accounts or sign-ups on this site. The numbers you enter into a calculator are processed in your browser and are not sent anywhere.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one collects some technical information automatically through the third-party services described below. That typically includes your approximate location (usually country or city level), the type of device and browser you are using, which pages you visited and how long you stayed, and the site or search that sent you here.
This information is aggregated and statistical. We use it to work out which calculators and guides are useful and which ones need improving. We do not use it to try to identify you personally, and we do not attempt to link it to any individual.
Cookies and third-party services
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This site does not set any cookies of its own, but the following third-party services do:
| Service | What it does | More information |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Measures page views and general traffic patterns so we know which pages are worth expanding. | Google Privacy Policy |
| Google AdSense | Serves the advertising that keeps the calculators free. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. | How Google uses advertising cookies |
| Amazon Associates | Tracks whether a purchase followed a click on one of our product links, so the commission is credited correctly. | Amazon Privacy Notice |
These companies operate independently of us. We do not control what they collect, and their own privacy policies govern how they use it. The links above are the authoritative source for each.
Advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Opting out does not remove ads — it means the ads you see will be less relevant to you.
Affiliate links
Maker Calculators is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This never changes the price you pay. Product recommendations reflect what we think suits the job described on the page, and the presence of a commission does not change what we recommend.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Every major browser allows this, and blocking cookies will not stop the calculators from working, since they do not rely on cookies to function.
Browser features such as Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are handled by the third-party services above according to their own policies rather than by this site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data collected about you — including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, or object to its processing. In the EU and UK these rights come from the GDPR; in California, from the CCPA.
Because this site holds no accounts and collects nothing that identifies you directly, we generally hold no personal data about you to retrieve or delete. Data collected by Google through Analytics and AdSense is held by Google, and requests about that data are best made through your Google account privacy controls. If you believe we hold something about you and want it removed, contact us and we will help where we can.
Children
This site is intended for adults making candles, incense, bath and herbal products, and similar crafts. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Accuracy of the calculators
The calculators and guides here are provided for general informational purposes. Candle, incense, bath and herbal product making involves heat, open flame, smoke and skin contact, and results vary with your materials, equipment and environment. Always test your own recipes and follow the safety guidance from your suppliers. We are not liable for outcomes from following information on this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes or as the services it uses change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
